Week 1 Term 4

Welcome back to another term!  I hope everyone had a wonderful time over the holidays.

Here is an outline of the plan for term 4.

Talking and Listening

We will continue with our news talks starting week 2 for talking and listening this term.

Literacy Groups

This term for Jolly Grammar we will be focusing on parts of speech: nouns (proper/common), when to use ‘a’ or ‘an’, adjectives, adverbs, compound words and punctuation (speech marks). We will continue focussing on spelling rules, including defining aspects such as the short and long vowels.

Writing

At the start of the term we will be learning about Australian coins, 2D and 3D shapes as well as continuing to build on number skills, addition and subtraction.

Later in the term, students will be learning how to move from one direction to another using directional language (below, between, above, through, left and right).
