• LLL banking- School banking will recommence on Tuesday 13th June.

• School photos- Tuesday 27th June (please note the change of date) School envelopes have been sent home. Please return the envelope to the front office with money or credit card details by Thursday 22nd June. The envelopes need to be returned even if you are not purchasing. Family photo envelopes are available from the front office. Full winter uniform must be worn.
• Bell times – As many of you may know our bells have always aligned with Wynn Vale PS (due to the fact that they have been incorporated on the same system). This joint use has at times restricted some activities and timing of events which we as a school would like to do. Therefore we have now separated the bells and the following is for your information.
8:45 am – this will be the one and only bell each morning. At this time the gates will be closed and any students who arrive after this (except the bus students) will be deemed as late.
Recess and lunch – there will be no bells at the end of these breaks and instead we will be playing music. Research in other schools who use this method reveal that students come back to class in a more settled (and happy!) frame of mind. This will begin in the next few days.
3:07 pm – the final bell for the day will be at 3:07 pm and students will only be dismissed at this time. Pick up will now begin at 3:10 pm. There are teachers on duty at pick up until 3:30 pm so try and time your arrival for 3:15 pm or later (when more often than not you will be able to drive straight through!).

• Unit of Inquiry – If any parents or grandparents have any items or pictures from the past we could keep in our classroom for students to explore, please bring them in.

• News talks/Sharing – Students ask parents and/or grandparents what their home looked like in the past, the household items they had and traditions in the family home i.e. did the family eat together? Students might ask what did you play with? Where did you eat dinner? What did you wear? What did you have in your lounge room? Students can share with the class what they find out and any pictures, writing or items they bring in could be used for our Inquiry display.

• Jolly Words and sight words- Just a reminder that students need to practise their sight words and Jolly words often. They are tested regularly by parent volunteers.

• Parent volunteers- Please let me know if you can help out in the year 1 classroom in the mornings this term.
