Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School (GGLPS) and Golden Grove Lutheran Church (GGLC) began in 1988. There has always been and continues to be a strong relationship between the two.
Our congregation has an active ministry with children and young people. The congregation employs staff to coordinate the children and youth ministries (in particular Playgroup and Junior Youth). Our congregation has an active ministry with the community, children, and young people. This ministry involves:
- Cafe Connect – a coffee shop open every day for members of the community to meet together and purchase barista-made coffee and drinks along with snacks. Children can use the outside playground area while you catch up with friends.
- Play Group: Friday 9:30 am for ages 0-5 – we start off sessions with unstructured play until 10:15am, where we lead into a snack time (supplied by you) and finishing with a music session of singing, dancing and playing from 10:30 – 11am. Come along at any stage of the morning for some fun – bookings not required.
- Ignite (formally junior youth): Friday 3:45-5 pm (selected weeks – contact church for further information) (Receptions – Year 5), beginning with a snack, followed by activities based on the theme of the week.
- Youth: Friday 7:15 – 9:30 pm (Year 6-12) – held every week
- Vine kids: Sunday morning 9:30-10:30 am (all ages) – the children’s ministry program held during church each week.
