Mark Le Messurier is a teacher, counsellor, public speaker, and the author of 18 publications. He is the recipient of the prestigious Australia Day Council’s 2022 Senior South Australian of the Year award.
The term resilience is used to describe a person’s capacity to cope with change or challenge, and to bounce back with optimism. It is a prized quality as it positions us to deal with the inevitable hiccups, setbacks, shocks, and disasters that await us in the future.
Today, we understand that developing resilient qualities in our children is more than good luck! It is a process that is well researched and thoroughly understood.
This workshop presents a collection of PRACTICAL resilience building ideas. To quote Mark “I call them the 10-C’s and you’ll adore them. They provide a guide for parents, caregivers, and educators to become the best resilience coach for children. Here’s the thing: isn’t it curious that our children’s resilience hinges on our knowledge, our own resilience, and how we model it over the first 20 years of their lives? They are dependent on us knowing how to invest and assist.”
